{"id":814,"date":"2018-01-28T13:36:03","date_gmt":"2018-01-28T21:36:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/loggersretreat.com\/rebuild\/?p=814"},"modified":"2018-01-28T13:36:03","modified_gmt":"2018-01-28T21:36:03","slug":"winter-is-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/loggersretreat.com\/rebuild\/2018\/01\/28\/winter-is-coming\/","title":{"rendered":"Winter Is Coming?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we come to the end of the month, this winter in the Yosemite area is shaping up to look more like Spring.\u00a0 While the eastern half of the country has been in the deep freeze, out here in California we&#8217;ve been mostly warm and cozy &#8212; as long as we&#8217;re not getting swept away in mud slides. of course<\/p>\n<p>That same\u00a0 storm system in early January that buried Montecito in mud brought this region of the Sierras south of Yosemite at least <strong>4 inches<\/strong> of rain!<\/p>\n<p>Yes it is true that snow would have been much better for the state&#8217;s continuing water problems, and might possibly have even\u00a0 tempered the severity of the Montecito mudslides.
